productionsBetween the constant increase of our energy consumption and the rarefaction of fossil fuels, the price of energy increases and will continue to increase in the years to come. The economic stake is evident and has a direct impact on our energy bills.

However several environmental and social issues have also to be taken into account when we speak about energy.

Fossil fuels (oil, gas, coal and uranium) generate pollutions throughout their life cycle, from their extraction until their use. They contain considerable volumes of C02 which are destocked in the atmosphere during their consumption and participate actively to the global warming. Therefore, developing renewable and not polluting energy allows to decrease our impact on the environment.

Fossil fuels are present on earth in limited amounts and are not renewable. Thus, developing renewable energy is a necessity if we want to be able to cope with the increasing energy demand without having to face the exhaustion of fossil fuels.

Fossil fuels generate geopolitical tensions which make unstable the international market of energy. Renewable energy, produced locally thanks to an inexhaustible resource, allow to acquire an independence towards the market of energy, to insure the stability of the supply and to limit the losses during the transport by building nearer the place of production to the place of consumption.

The TIPER park, based on the production of renewable energy, allows, beyond the environmental aspect, to integrate an approach of sustainable development in regard to the three fields which are:

  • The economical aspect by developing an activity linked with renewable energy
  • The environmental aspect by producing clean and renewable energy
  • The social aspect by creating jobs locally and by assuring the stability of the energy supply

Moreover, the global goal of the TIPER park is focused both on renewable power production and  on energy efficiency. This project will allow to reach national (Grenelle de l'Environnement) and European (20-20-20) objectives and to increase the share of renewables in our energy mix.
